Michelle Elvy
Michelle Elvy is a writer, editor and manuscript assessor based in Dunedin, New Zealand. She is also Assistant Editor of the Best Small Fictions series and Reviews Editor at takahē. She chairs National Flash Fiction Day NZ and has co-edited Bonsai: Best small stories from Aotearoa New Zealand (Canterbury University Press, 2018) and Ko Aotearoa Tātou | We Are New Zealand (Otago University Press, August 2020).
Michelle has guest edited and judged competitions for the Bath Flash Fiction Award, SmokeLong Quarterly, Reflex Fiction and the Whangarei Poetry Walk, among others. Michelle’s poetry, fiction, travel writing, creative nonfiction and reviews have been widely published, anthologised and placed in competitions. Her book, the everrumble (Ad Hoc Fiction, 2019), is a small novel in small forms, launched at the 2019 UK Flash Fiction Festival.
