Debbi Voisey

Debbi Voisey is the author of two novellas-in-flash, Only About Love and The 10:25 (both 2021). Only About Love received a special mention in the 2022 Saboteur Awards, and was shortlisted in the Arnold Bennett Prize 2022. Her debut novel, In the Dark was published in May 2024.

She also writes flash fiction and short stories, and has been published or been placed in competitions in print and online in various places including 100 Voices, 101 Words, Ad hoc Fiction, Anchala Press, Bath Flash Fiction Award, Bath Short Story Award, Ellipsis Zine, Paragraph Planet, Propelling Pencil, Reflex Fiction, Stormy Island Publishing, Syncopation Literary Journal, The Phare, Visual Verse, and WestWord.

She recently received Pushcart Prize and Best Micro Fiction nominations.

She is a creative writing tutor, workshop facilitator, editor and mentor, and is also a member of the team at Retreat West, running workshops, prompt sessions, and providing feedback on submitted work. You will find her each year helping run the Ad Hoc Fiction bookshop at the Flash Fiction Festival in Bristol.
