Her awards include the Bryan MacMahon short story award (2009), the Columbia Journal fiction prize (2011), a Wordsonthewaves WOW!1 award (2010) and the inaugural Posara prize (2011) together with placings in the international Bridport and Fish competitions (2009), the biennial Michael McLaverty award (2012) and the UPP Short FICTION competition (2013).

Annemarie was educated at Trinity College Dublin and the Courtauld Institute, London. She began writing fiction in 2008 after a career as a lawyer and her first novel, A Parachute in the Lime Tree was published by The History Press Ireland in 2012. You can find her on Twitter @AnnemarieNeary1
